Most wizards need to keep in contact somehow right? No, no, no not by cell phones or telepathic communications, but by Owls and Two-way mirrors. Basically here you can treat this like a cell phone page and sent owls and notes to all around you.

No New Posts Rapid Fire Threads
This area is specifically designed for rapid fire threads. The intention is to have believable character interactions that normally wouldn’t occur (for example, two people sitting next to each other on the Knight Bus) and so on. This is also a great way to test your writing chemistry with another member.

No New Posts Diagon Alley
An extremely hustle and bustle area for all witches and wizards in the greater part of Wizarding London, Diagon Alley has more shops than you will be able to count. Lately some of the crime ridden turmoil has spread onto the streets, so don't be surprised or frightened if you see Aurors walking the streets to patrol the area and try to keep things contained. Still, that being said, it would probably be best to avoid walking around alone at night if at all possible.

No New Posts Knockturn Alley
Knockturn Alley, the place where you hear dark stories of murder and mystery. Parents rarely let their children down the dark and dank alleys, and for good reason! What appears to be just a dingy alleyway is actually where the shops are devoted to dark arts items are centrally located. With the spike in criminal activity based to the economic and political unrest, Knockturn Alley has become an area where you have to have your wand at the ready.

No New Posts Hogsmeade
Hogsmeade is an ancient, all Wizarding village located near Hogwarts. The village is almost as old as the school, with lots of friendly old stores. You can find pubs and other random vendors with buildings set up that make up the quaint village. Not as crime ridden as some parts of wizarding Europe as of late, Hogsmeade has become somewhat of a safe haven away from the constant danger. Don't be fooled; you'll still find trouble if you look in the right corners.

No New Posts St Mungo's
St. Mungo's Hospital was founded in the late 1500s by Mungo Bonham, and was the first successful hospital dealing with magical injuries. The hospital is very well known through out the magical world, and no one even considers taking their loved ones to any other hospital if they truly care about them considering St. Mungo's has the highest life saving rate out of any hospital. Once inside, you will find the five floors (including the ground floor) all with their own set purposes and floor for certain needs.

No New Posts Ministry of Magic
The Ministry of Magic is located in the heart of London. The actual structure itself is totally underground, although magical windows that are placed in various areas show the weather chosen by the magical maintenance team. They have many choices, including hurricane and bags of sunshine. The Ministry of Magic is also protected by more magical safeguards and charms than you will ever learn in your life, making it almost impossible to breach security. Almost impossible.

No New Posts Hogwarts
Currently closed for the summer holidays, Hogwarts is only open to staff members and adult visitors. Established around the 9th or 10th century, by two wizards and two witches: Godric Gryffindor, Helga Hufflepuff, Rowena Ravenclaw, and Salazar Slytherin. They each represented an aspect of personality that they wanted to bring out in new students. Hogwarts is considered to be one of the finest magical institutions in the wizarding world. The school's motto is Draco Dormiens Nunquam Titillandus and is in Latin, which translates to "Never tickle a sleeping dragon".

No New Posts Residences
Many witches and wizards find their own secluded areas in order to take up residency, specifically because it's easier to conceal magic from Muggles if they aren't around. Across the greater part of magical Europe are many little wizarding and witch villages, allowing concealment and freedom to use magic as they see fit. Others live in public areas and do their best to integrate into Muggle society, which can be difficult with owls coming and going.

One can find magic all around the world. Whether you're traveling to Russia, the United States, or Australia, you can find any of your magical destinations that take place around the globe. With Apparation being readily available for wizards and witches who are currently of age, the sky is the limit in your global explorations. Just be careful with what you might find out there... Some places aren't as welcoming as one might hope to find.

No New Posts Time Turner
Though the board begins in 2033, there's bound to be a lot that happened in the past! So here's the place to thread that out; explore what your characters did before they were who they are right now. Make sure you time stamp and location stamp your threads so you and readers know when and where it takes place. You can also explore some future threads if you have those ideas figured and planned out already to give some ideas as to where they might go.

Once a thread has been deemed inactive or expired, it will be moved into the archives. We'll do our best to try and keep things as organized as possible in this thread graveyard. If you ever need something moved back, feel free to contact a member of staff by posting in the moderation thread and we will get it moved right back where it belongs. It's always fun to go back and read up on old threads too, so don't be surprised if you see us going through and rekindling our feels by reading through the archive threads.
